PIKE DREAMS
NEW ALBUM OUT MARCH 6, 2026
Limited edition tape/CD on Void Key Recordings

We do not guess what we do not know.
Under this premise we are alone in the universe
And if we are not alone, then they are alone, too.
We are The White Noise From God’s Radio.
I. The Signal Is Not Clean
The human brain demands clarity, speed, and purpose.
We can only offer distortion, drift, reflexion and decay.
Our music is not the answer -
It is the question drowned in delay and atmosphere,
An invitation to turning your insides out
To show empathy, vulnerability and the fear of death,
Which is injected in everything that lives on earth
The moment it feels the cold light of its first day.
II. We Do Not Perform
We transmit and you receive.
No wishes, no demands, only open ears and minds.
From the static between dreams, from the deep hum beneath existence.
We are only the hands that twist the antenna.
III. Doom Is a State of Being
This is not a genre, it is the gravity of frequencies.
Every riff is a ritual. Every drone, a breath held in the lungs of the void.
Slowness is resistance. Repetition is invocation.
We do not chase novelty or tradition.
We burn everything down and build our own auditive world.
IV. Worship Decay
Time erodes everything.
Still the magnetic hiss remembers.
We shape sound into relics: cassette, reel, disc, decay.
Each object is a shrine to what can only mean death.
V. No God, No Audience, Only Noise
We do not exist for applause.
We do not exist for streaming algorithms.
We do not exist for any purpose
Other than what we load on ourselves to bear.
We are the echo of evolution, a broken hymn from behind the veil.
You have tuned in and we are humble and thankful
As long as it lasts, as we last,
As you last
Broadcast ends. Transmission repeats.

The Mountain King is a multi-genre music project originating from the city of Mainz, Germany, founded by multi-instrumentalist Eric McQueen, meanwhile joined by guitarist Frank Grimbarth and DJ Robert Furbished.
Active since 2014, the project delivers a deliberate fusion of crushingly slow riffs, melancholic atmospheres, and minimalistic composition, drawing a big portion of influence from early Heavy Metal and Doom Metal and the bleakness of Funeral Doom and Drone, other included genres so far have been EDM, trip hop, ambience and post rock.
The sound prioritizes weight and sound texture over commercial stereotypes in songwriting, using progressive structures, repetition and decay as compositional tools.
Lyrical themes center on existential dread, isolation and the psychological fallout of modernity and capitalism, often cloaked in allegory drawn from folklore and ancient myth. Vocals, when present, are sparse and obscured, functioning more as an additional instrument than a narrative device. The Mountain King rejects commercial formatting, opting instead for extended tracks that develop over ten minutes or more, ignoring verse-chorus conventions and tradition-forced production polish.
The project remains deliberately obscure, rarely performing live and releasing material primarily via Bandcamp or limited-run physical formats without re-runs. This approach reflects a clear stance against market-driven aesthetics and a preference for unmediated artistic control.
The Mountain King operates at the fringes of the genre, not for lack of access, but by intention — preserving the integrity of doom as a vessel for sonic desolation and existential weight.
Their own label Void Key Recordings serves as the catalyst for their artistic and physical output.
